Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineer to join the Infrastructure Platform Team and help us with this critical mission. This individual will join a focused and have the opportunity to work on rewarding challenges that come with the business of building a cloud in a communicative, supportive, and high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Infrastructure Platform Team, you would have the opportunity to:

 

  • Design, deploy and manage corporate infrastructure in both on-prem and cloud environments

  • Implement and manage Compute infrastructure (physical servers, virtual machines) and Storage infrastructure (NFS, iSCSI) for both Denvr internal, and Denver AI Cloud multi-tenant deployments as required

  • Learn and help deploy high performance GPU systems for world-recognized clients  (NVIDIA SuperPOD, InfiniBand, RoCE, storage platforms)

  • Provide guidance for cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions that make sense for Denvr, including identity management and access control, data protection and business continuity, security, monitoring, and automation

  • Manage Microsoft cloud technologies and O365 (Azure AD, Identity/Access, Exchange Online, InTune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)

  • In-depth knowledge and experience to implement and manage Microsoft on-premise technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, replication) in multi-site deployments

  • Design, deploy and manage VMware environment in multi-site deployments, with special consideration to Availability and Scalability

  • Support adoption of cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, KubeVirt) and identify opportunities for efficiencies and automation 

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge, playing a vital role in the design and operations of production, staging, and development infrastructures 

  • Actively participate in new deployments of Denvr AI Cloud infrastructure through collaboration with other teams, taking ownership of tasks and raising issues where appropriate, and identifying areas for improvement

  • Ensure infrastructure solutions adhere to security and compliance roadmap

  • Manage frequent changes and hyper growth in a responsible manner, in order to mitigate risk and ensure availability

  • Document all stages of a solution, including design decisions, architecture, implementation, ongoing management, and business continuity

  • End-user support will be required from time to time to assist your colleagues in problem troubleshooting/resolution and provide recommendations

  • Maintain ongoing research and training of industry best-practices and tooling, cloud-native technologies, “software-defined everything”

  • Participate in research initiatives to align our strategies and practices with organizational goals and evolving customer needs

  • Other duties as assigned


Skills Required


Denvr Dataworks invests in its people and values candidates who can bring their diversified experiences to our teams.  The following qualities are preferred but not exclusively required.  


  • You have five of more years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering

  • You have experience automating and operating infrastructure services

  • You have interest or experience using Kubernetes and related tools such as Helm

  • You have scripting experience in Windows PowerShell and Linux environments (shell, python)

  • You are interested in automation, reliability, and observability

  • You are a self-starter and a continuous learner

  • You are excited to work with Generative AI infrastructure and learn about high-performance cloud services
